摇滚歌手高兴落魄时与高三学生梦瑶偶然相遇后得以重返学校复读，俩人渐生情愫，上大学报到途中，高兴遭遇车祸导致毁容，不得不中止学业隐姓埋名到乡下陶瓷厂打工。梦谣寻找高兴无果，在酒吧当了兼职歌手。四年后，流落街头的高兴与梦瑶意外重逢……。当他的个人专辑显然是失败的时候，一位前男孩乐队成员尽其所能维持他的名人地位。。John Kent (Randolph Scott), a former star football player at Harvard, goes to Paris with his friend Huck Haines (Fred Astaire) and the latter's dance band, the Wabash Indianians.
