Subjects of Desire is a thought provoking film that examines the cultural shift in beauty standards towards embracing (or appropriating) Black aesthetics and features, deconstructing what we understand about race and the power behind beauty.。在拳台上，谭凯（杨坤饰）可以被打倒，但绝不会认输。 一次意外，拳台夺走了谭凯相识多年的兄弟，打击之下他选择退役离场；一次偶然，他得知兄弟的心脏移植到了女孩丽川（夏梓桐饰）的体内，为了救赎这份生命的延续，他再一次拾起拳套。 没有优异的体能，没有先进的战术，甚至没有为他喝彩的观众。但从来习惯孤独迎战的谭凯，冠军的心是他最强大的意志，足够支撑他不倒下。谭凯在台上不断用生命向对手挥出重拳，而下一个他要战胜的，正是他自己。。
