Prior to the beginning of the season, comedian Jon Rudnitsky joined the cast as a f...。原来任职ＣＩＤ的王志淙（黄日华 饰）为人正直、胆大心细、屡破奇案；但也有其不好的一面，就是容易冲动、独断独行，多次在行动置上级指示和同伴劝告于不顾。一次，与志淙情同手足的好友兼同事周家祥（李成昌 饰）为了要替好赌的女友还清高利债务，与匪帮勾结策划武装抢劫，案发被志淙亲手缉拿归案。 志淙与Ｏ记年轻干探林永泰（陈锦鸿 饰）因行事风格各异而结怨。真是不是冤家不聚头，志淙调入Ｏ记后却无独有偶跟永泰编在了一组。专断独行的志淙与作风保守凡事照章行事的永泰，一开始两人就火光四溅，相互埋怨。但经过一番相处，两人都十分欣赏对方的执着和正义，于是成为了O记里面扑灭罪案的一对最佳拍档。。
