以前是刑警的陆诚盛狂躁症发作，在路上失控飙车，最终发生了车祸。导致女儿陆北星因为这场意外失明，小星从此恨上了自己的父亲。陆诚盛发现是自己曾经调查的犯人十年后改头换面接近了自己的家庭，甚至要加害小星。于是开始了与犯人斗智斗勇，守护小星2。Speedy" loses his job as a soda-jerk, then spends the day with his girl at Coney Island. He then becomes a cab driver and delivers Babe Ruth to Yankee Stadium, where he stays to see the game. When the railroad tries to run the last horse-drawn trolley (operated by his girl's grandfather) out of business, "Speedy" organizes the neighborhood oldtimers to thwart their scheme.。
