Asta is a journalist in Ålesund who seems plunged in a melancholic state, for a reason w...。怀揣民歌梦想的陕北后生马聪，到西安应聘陕北民歌促销歌手，与陕北女孩王燕因同唱一首民歌《一对对鸳鸯水上漂》相识，进而相爱，但是由于梦想和追求的差异，二人最终分道扬镳。梦想和爱情双双受挫的马聪黯然返乡，经民歌高手老朱指点，他坚定了要把陕北民歌发扬光大的信念。马聪遍访名家、虚心求学，学到了很多濒临失传的优秀民歌，也结识了在陕北做毕业论文调查的音乐学院研究生孙倩。在省级民歌大赛上，马聪凭借一首《一对对鸳鸯水上漂》一举成名。在孙倩的启发和鼓励下，马聪决定在西安筹办民歌欣赏晚会，但由于不懂得市场经营，晚会的票房很差，场地和灯光音响的费用无法按期支付，在无计可施的时刻，一位神秘嘉宾购买了几百张门票，马聪的演唱会得以如期举行。然而，这售出的几百张门票却没有观众……。
