With no job, family, or friends, he must make a choice| live as his mo...。《七十二家房客》是上海人民滑稽剧团的看家之作。1958年，杨华生、笑嘻嘻、张樵侬、沈一乐四位老滑稽艺术家以解放前上海底层市民的艰苦生活为素材，写就了轰动一时的《七十二家房客》，从此，“七十二家房客”成了住房狭小的代名词。1978年，王汝刚等当时年轻一代的演员加盟，让《七十二家房客》的现场演出可谓一票难求，也曾进京演出。“三六九”、“炳根”、“二房东”、“小皮匠”这些经典人物，对老一辈上海人可以说是家喻户晓。 2017年新春佳节推出的沪语贺岁剧《七十二家房客》，将原本的舞台作品扩展成8集、每集45分钟的电视剧，在不游离原舞台剧的前提下，将舞台剧里蜻蜓点水的支脉挖掘出来有的扩展，有的延伸，改编并增加了不少人物。所以这次不是简单的翻拍，而是重塑经典。。
