In the new series where it’s always summer, MP (Cunningham) and Jer (Jackson) are employees at a pool cleaning company called Agua Donkeys...。清道光年间，广州府捕快陈铁志追查私吞赈灾款受阻。利用武大人巡视之际假意行刺，借此秘查白银流向，就在真相即将大白于天下之时，陈铁志却险遭灭口，经过殊死搏斗案犯终于落网，陈铁志辞官退隐，创办武馆惠及桑梓。。本片改编自以山田风太郎的同名小说，由讲述为了解开里见家施加的诅咒而被命运吸引的8名年轻剑士们的战斗的《虚》，以及描写用28年时间写了180话的故事的作家泷泽马琴的真实故事的《实》两部分组成。役所广司饰演主人公马琴，内野圣阳饰演他的好友画家葛饰北斋。矶村勇斗马琴的儿子宗伯，黑木华宗伯的妻子·路，马寺岛忍饰演马琴的妻子·百，在《虚》部分掌握八犬士命运的伏姬由土屋出演。。
