深夜3点，远方市中心的喧嚣隐隐传来，台北外围的街道上，老郭与妻子在此经营清粥小菜店，为夜深未眠的人们提供一处热食。计程车司机、隔壁刺青师、经营抓娃娃机的小情侣、等待主人归来的流浪狗，都在此获得漫漫长夜裡的短暂慰藉。借由单纯的看与听，本片带领观众走进睡眠中的台北市，一窥其中不为人知的夹层及韵律。。深夜的京都花街，舞伎结束表演工作后会返回屋形（宿舍）。担任一处屋形的厨娘的16岁少女清在深夜也等待着她们，献上温暖的料理，同时描绘着她和这群女孩互动的温暖的日常生活。。Parents died, and that's what we are.
