太行山深处的下伏头村是一个远近闻名的戏迷村。戏迷郑老九闻听省城豫剧团要来县上巡回演出，边自作主张欲出重金请剧团来村里唱戏。不料此举却刺伤了一村之长何留顺的自尊，也把何村长心仪已久的寡妇四婶牵扯进来。。Based on real events, the story follows a father and son (Offerman and Tremblay) who identify as Sovereign Citizens, a group of anti-government extremists, as they venture across the country and find themselves in a standoff with a chief of police (Dennis Quaid) that sets off an intense manhunt with tragic consequences.。
