故事发生在湖南武冈，南明朝永历皇帝一度偏安于此，以图反清复明。武冈是明朝建国之初由明太祖朱元璋分封的岷国藩王的都城。如今的朱岷王是永历皇帝的皇叔，他见南明大势已去便勾结清兵，被永历皇帝派人暗杀，但朱岷王的头颅不知去见。南明决定继续南撤，为了转移从北京带出的金银财宝（反清复明的资本），永历皇帝决定厚葬朱岷王，铸造黄金头颅入殓，以遮人耳目。天下盗墓贼及土匪云集武冈，明清之间展开了一场角逐。故事的部分情节根据民间传说做了虚构。。Thallumaala revolves around a series of fights in the life of a young man named Wazim, Among these fights, the one that ends up topping the list is the massive fight that breaks out on his wedding day, which transforms Wazim into Manavalan Wazim, the internet sensation he is today.
