本片讲述了大学生白世贵毕业后回到家乡，错失了城里的工作后，克服重重阻碍，为村民们解决了积压的蘑菇、粮食种子的销路问题，获得了众人的信任，得到了父亲和女友的支持，自己也最终下定决心留在家乡，做一名村官儿的故事。。St. Jude Square is a neighborhood living in fear and despair. The dueling gangs of local kingpins Dash and Antuan terrorize the streets and the citizens live without a shred of hope... until mysterious stranger Ryan Hong (Cung Le) arrives in town. He begins to play one gang against the other using his unparalleled martial arts skills, and by calling on the teachings of his brilliant mentor Tiano (Jean-Claude Van Damme) to find the strength to battle back. However, just as he begins to bring the community under control, Hong is confronted by Mr. V, the town's ruthless and corrupt police chief. At first Mr. V is impressed by Hong's skill, but soon sees Hong as a threat to his regime, and the two warriors are locked in a head-to-head battle, pitting the fear and corruption of Mr. V's regime versus the new beginning Hong represents for the people of St. Jude Square.。全新節目《隔山買假期》由J2兩大「外語擔當」姜麗文（Lesley）及林沚羿（Venus）擔任主持。為滿足香港觀眾既鍾意賺錢，又熱愛旅行的兩大願望，「VL雙妹」將帶觀眾走訪東京首都圈外三小時內能抵達的投資潛力勝地，包括新潟縣的越後湯沢、妙高，及山梨縣的河口湖及山中湖等。節目探討各處酒店、民宿、溫泉旅館，甚至滑雪場的環境、管理營運方式及投資潛力等，亦會到各地作雪屋、農家民宿等特色旅遊體驗。節目除了推介投資筍貨，還會開心share某部份項目投資要訣及心得。 除了講金，《隔山買假期》亦會貫徹J2旅遊節目精神，體驗不同地方文化及生活。Venus等先後到雪屋、大地藝術祭及溫泉酒店，進行不同類型的體驗。除會深入雪屋大歎當地人愛吃的炭燒蜜柑及年糕，更會大啖古時用以招呼貴賓的鄉土料理「雪見御膳」，及試穿至潮浴衣及大歎獨立房靚景溫泉。當中最搞笑的是Venus穿上雪衣裝束...。
