转业军人高建民奉命率领一批复员军人在北大荒雁窝岛建立农场，被任命为农场党委书记。十八年前，高建民曾在这里从事革命斗争。他到岛上后，遇见了当年牺牲的老战友黄永和的父亲老猎人黄老清，以及曾被高建民救护过的小姑娘黄燕子。在规划垦荒计划时，农场副场长纪庆山凭老经验认为雁窝岛并不具备建立农场的条件，主张先修路后进岛，只能慢慢来。高建民认为事在人为，不能等待有了条件才建农场，他在黄老清的帮助和支持下，带领群众克服种种困难，把建设农场的急需物资和农业机械及时运到岛上，成功地建起一座新的农场 ，播种了第一批农作物，并获得了大丰收。。该片以视听障碍人支援法《海伦凯勒法》为素材。《海伦凯勒法》是指国家人权委员会2008年1月针对视听障碍残疾儿童不能接受教育的现状进行调查，并制定的相关政策。虽然已经过了12年，但人们对视听障碍人的认识仍然很落后。。Alex, a sound engineer, accidentally records mysterious voices: disturbing messages from the afterlife who warn him against an imminent and terrifying danger.
