电影背景以1920年在中国吉林省凤梧洞联合独立军摧毁日军第19师团，取得巨大胜利的凤梧洞战斗，与青山里战争一同被誉为"独立运动史"为原型的故事。。艺术系女硕士伊夫琳为了她的学位论文准备实行一个改造男人计划，其貌不扬且害羞的亚当成了她的目标。伊夫琳的计划进展顺利，亚当从内到外焕然一新，然而吸引力倍增的亚当与好友的未婚妻发生关系，引来了一系列麻烦。当伊夫琳公开她的这个计划时，亚当已经难以分辨他和伊夫琳之间究竟有没有爱可言……。The Delinquent Season is a tense drama which revolves around two couples in suburban Dublin. Although all seems fine on the surface, cracks in both relationships come to light when, one night at dinner, Chris lashes out at his wife, Yvonne. The film explores both love and loss and ultimately asks the question, How well can any of us really know each other?。
