姬丝汀为了庆祝男朋友泰勒30岁生日，决定带他及另外两对情侣，玩时下流行的「密室逃脱」游戏。玩家会被锁在一间密室里，透过房内线索限时一小时解谜并找到逃出方法。一开始大家都兴致勃勃，但当时间流逝，难度提高，玩家一个接一接地死去，始发现他们一直玩的不是游戏，而是命！。传说中可实现持有者一切愿望的宝物——圣杯。而为了得到圣杯的仪式就被称为圣杯戦争。 参加圣杯戦争的7名由圣杯选出的魔术师被称为御主（マスター，英文Master），与7名被称为从者（サーヴァント，英文Servant）的使魔订定契约。他们是由圣杯选择的七位英灵，被分为七个职阶，以使魔的身份被召唤出来。 圣杯承认的使用者只有一个，御主（Master）一定得与七种职业的从者（Servant）之一立下契约，证明自己是有资格拥有圣杯的人。。Set in the 24th century and decades after the adventures of the original crew of the starship Enterprise, this new series is the long-awaited successor to the original "Star Trek" (1966).
