本片延续《我们的故事》系列，第三部以1979年为开端，横跨十多年至1980年代末的流金岁月。讲述林家第二代和邻居们一同从甘榜搬入政府组屋后的故事，经历新加坡环境、政策和民生的大变迁。 在姐姐过世后，阿坤（李国煌饰）改过自新，成为一名德士司机，和年轻一代的侄子顺发因为代沟常常发生冲突。80年代新加坡正实施多项改革政策，阿坤常常对政府的诸多政策感到不满，像是华文学校被迫关闭、新加坡精英制度等，结果决定和政府“唱反调”，成立反对党。众人的故事会如何收场？。The young Marie, daughter of a Thuringian glassblower, violates all traditions after the death of mother and father. To feed herself and her sisters, she became the first female glassblower in the small town of Lauscha in 1890, and her artful glassy Christmas balls find themselves in America.。
