在這個全球化看似不可抵擋的誘惑，伴隨高唱歐洲一體化的火紅年代，如此有關追逐夢想 (及其破滅) 的故事自然順理成章。30歲的Marta自小灌輸10歲女兒Anna學好英語，準備他日離開家鄉白俄羅斯赴外闖蕩。母女好不容易離開故鄉逃到瑞典，卻發現別國文明富庶的形象只是糖衣外殼，難民中心的日子絕對不好活。縱然苦日子難得遇上有情郎，Marta卻終得向殘酷的現實低頭。似曾相識的故事，在地球的這一角亦不斷重覆上演，居留權對部份人來說根本是與生俱來，對另一部份人而言，卻可能要付上一生代價方能得之。我們不禁要問︰全球化現象之下人口穿梭流動的契機，究竟是喜或悲？ 導演簡介 Agnieszka Łukasiak 1978年生於波蘭弗羅茨瓦夫，6歲時以政治難民身份移居瑞典。曾於斯德哥爾摩修讀戲劇，並入讀著名的波蘭洛茲電影學院。她的紀錄片作品《阿爾及利亞》(2002) 曾入選阿...。St. Jude Square is a neighborhood living in fear and despair. The dueling gangs of local kingpins Dash and Antuan terrorize the streets and the citizens live without a shred of hope... until mysterious stranger Ryan Hong (Cung Le) arrives in town. He begins to play one gang against the other using his unparalleled martial arts skills, and by calling on the teachings of his brilliant mentor Tiano (Jean-Claude Van Damme) to find the strength to battle back. However, just as he begins to bring the community under control, Hong is confronted by Mr. V, the town's ruthless and corrupt police chief.
