故事发生在1971年的大阪，彼时，世博会刚刚结束，在依然没有消散的快乐的余韵之中，一个名为铃爱（永野芽郁饰）的女孩降生在了位于岐阜县东部的一个名叫枭町的小镇之中。在这里，铃爱度过了一个快乐的童年，虽然一场高烧令她的左耳失聪，但是她还是坚强而乐观的积蓄积极生活着。 高中毕业之后，铃爱决定只身一人前往东京，在那里以成为漫画家为目标继续奋斗，在东京，铃爱结识了一群志同道合的朋友们，然而，战后的泡沫经济让铃爱无法再继续她的梦想，随之破灭的，还有她的婚姻。离婚之后，铃爱带着女儿返回了家乡，见到了阔别多年的青梅竹马萩尾律（佐藤健饰）。。It's 1868 and the war has been over for three years.
