影片根据真实事件改编。一条大白鲨在一个偏远的岛屿上跟踪三个皮划艇爱好者。当它们等待救援到来时，潮水开始上涨，迫使它们回到致命的水域。现在比赛开始了，鲨鱼将要在他们回到海岸线的路上把他们吃掉。。Charlie and Nicola Buchanan (Shaun Micallef and Kat Stewart) are crime scene cleaners. As they go about their work, they collect evidence and clues the police may have missed. Every now and then, theyget carried away with helping solve the mysteries the police have trouble closing。在多伏尔山的深处，被困了一千年的庞然大物苏醒了。所到之处皆已沦为废墟，而它正在迅速向挪威首都逼近。但是又该如何阻止本应只存在于挪威民间传说中之物呢？。
