This is contrasted with the fate that awaits Sipowicz's older son, Andy Jr., who announces that he is to join the police force. Andy is finally bonding with his estranged son when he is gunned down, which leads the elder Sipowicz to fall off the wag...。劇作家・清水邦夫と当時まだTVディレクターだった田原総一朗の共同脚本・共同監督による鮮烈な一編。田原も清水も同じ大学から岩波映画社に入社した先輩と後輩同士である。桃井かおりがろうあ者の少女役で本格的デビューを飾り、その美しくふくよかな裸体は当時の若い観客たちをワクワクさせた。また、当時新進気鋭の写真家・加納典明や歌手のカルメン・マキが出演し、話題をまいた作品でもある。オリンピック候補として挙げられた棒高跳びをあきらめて、次のスポーツとしてかっぱらいを選んだ主人公。彼が、北陸の地をさまよい歩きながら出会った身体障害者の兄弟との心の交流をみずみずしいタッチで描いた、一種のロード・ムービー。。
