The Nativity is a 2010 British four-part drama television series. The series is a re-telling of the nativity and was broadcast on BBC One and BBC HD across four days, starting on 20 December 2010. It was rebroadcast in two hour-long parts on the mornings of 24 and 25 December 2011. The series stars Tatiana Maslany as Mary| Andrew Buchan as Joseph| Neil Dudgeon as Joachim| Claudie Blakley as Anna| Peter Capaldi as Balthasar and John Lynch as Gabriel.。原本是大户之家的玉卿嫂，因丈夫迷上了抽鸦片，不仅将家产败光，也因此陪上性命．成了寡妇的玉卿嫂，因不容于婆婆，加上家道中落，故而在别人的介绍下到大户人家当奶妈．玉卿嫂在偶然的机会中养了小白脸庆生，她对庆生的占有欲极强，不料庆生又爱上了戏子金燕飞，玉卿嫂获悉此事后，相当悲愤，她企图挽回庆生，但庆生执意不从，于是玉卿嫂在庆生临走前夕，与他见最后一面，并拿着预藏的刀子刺向庆生再自杀，结束了自己的一生．。
